A few more shots

Here are a few more shots from the first rolls I took with the new 50mm nikkor lens. Overall, I am pretty impressed with it. It is definitely fast. I really wish the shopping cart shot had come out better, I really liked the scene. It just turned out flat and boring. Oh well, live and learn (and spend a lot of cash on devoloping).




   

   

   

   


Notice that if you look closely in the fountain picture, you’ll see Venus just above the water. If it was a good shot, I probably shouldn’t have to tell you this. Of course calling the photo ”Fountain of Venus” should kinda give that away.

  1. I think that, by far, the most distracting thing in the shopping cart photo is the shadow. At a different time of day, I think this shot would have come out exactly as you intended it. Additionally, the reduction in contrast of not having the bright sunlight on the wall, would have made it easier to tame your exposure to bring out more of the detail in the stucco walls and the cart itself. Regardless, great job and good eye. It's my favorite of this bunch.
