Moving is fun; Photius is in a coma.
14 October 2003

I finally moved the hosting of justinm.com, k5aea.com, and photius.net away from their longtime homes on the ham server.  They are now happily beside gentlenews and gphiles, as well as a few other sites on farris’ server.  There are still a couple of glitches, but at the moment all are just visual.  So if you see an error on a page for the next few days just ignore it.  I think that you’ll find the new server both faster and more reliable than the old.

Some bad news: I took a couple of minutes out of homework time last night to try to get Photius’s front sensor working.  Unfortunately when I got the right stuff soldered and everything back together, the board now refuses to run Interactive C.  Looks like I may have blown the memory latch or the memory chip itself.  The processor is fine, as it accepts code and seemingly pipes code to the Memory, but it never will run that code.  Just a minor setback I am sure.  I did get the posts machined so that the sensors attach directly to them now.  Out with the black electrical tape for good.  It seems that they are both more consistant and more stable mounted vertically, just as we expected.

Ahh… the joys of coffe in the morning – thanks be to Farris for having a coffee maker with a timer so the Joe lures me out of my slumber.
