As you can surely tell, I’ve been playing a bit with the format of the blog, admittedly because I really like the layout that Farris uses over at gentlenews.com through a program called Movable Type. I want to keep this site true to my own coding, because the main reason I have it up is to learn more about PHP and web design in general. If I just plug-n-play some typesetting program I’ll end up sorting through someone else’s code more than writing my own.

The major point of the changes of late is to make the news more readable. I want to stick as closely as I can to the black and white theme, but at the same time I realize that white on black isn’t the easiest on the eyes. I also let all of the blog text on the main page so as to not waste a page on a blog that may be only a few lines long, and so its easier to see if there’s something new up. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
