Geek Festin’
20 June 2003

I am spending all weekend doing the geek thing at HamCom 2003 at the Arlington Convention Center. We were there today from 1PM through about 7PM, then went and had dinner with the great folks of the Lone Star DX association. I’m really looking forward to some of the presentations and especially the Luncheon tomorrow. The first American Amateur Radio Operator to be licensed in Coalition controlled Iraq will be speaking and it should be really good. Also, check out these awards that my friend Oliver Prinz, DK1CM, earned while at UTD last fall. Of course it helps that he knows the language for at least one of them:

Worked All Germany – #3 in the U.S

Worked All Europe – #16 in the U.S.

Good Jop Oli!
