Well that was fun

Three tests down, and a full linux reinstall and database restore behind me, I was overjoyed to find that I didn’t have a Digital Circuits lab this evening. What a joy it is. However, I did set a record with the lab report that was due, pounding it out in a little over ten minutes between exams this afternoon. The bad thing is that none of the tests went very well. I’m sure I passed them all, but probably missed the A mark by at least a few points.

Mandrake 9.1 is pretty cool, or in reality I should say that KDE 3.1 is cool, because Mandrake didn’t install a dhcp client on a default install (—what the?!?) so I had to go back and do it manually. Not that thats a problem or anything, its just that since almost every box on the net these days uses dhcp one would think that Mandrake would know to install it, or at least tell you its not being installed. I do have a new project out, myParts, which will be posted on sourceforge tonight sometime if I have the chance. You can read about what it does on the sourceforge site, lets just say I am posting it to the open source community as a plea for someone that really knows what they are doing in code to fix and add to, becuase the idea is pretty swell.

Oh, and where’s Bhagdad Bob these days? I really hope we didn’t kill him, that would be doing the Iraquis and the world a great disservice. He’s got to be the country’s best comedian.
